| 1941 Elgin 539, 8/0 size, 16
jewel, hack setting movement. Movement with serial number is pictured under what's
new on the home page. Hack is functional. This is the prototype for more common
black dial A-11, Issued when the Air Force was the Air Corps. This watch was 1 of 2000 in 1941, and the first one I have
ever held in my hands. Watch will be shipped with your choice of NOS Elgin one piece
strap or vintage two piece strap. Crown is worn but original, I will leave it up
to the new owner whether or not to replace it with a NOS version of its predecessor.
Service 02/2010 included cleaning, timing, NOS Elgin white metal alloy mainspring.
