Very rare white dial, 1941 Elgin 15 jewel, 539 hacking A-11. Three piece case with coin bezel, Back Inscribed with correct AC (Air Corps) markings. The only jewelers markings date to 1948. All original, dial shows nice patina, blued steel hands and red sweep hand are excellent. Movement is very clean, with 1st generation hack lever. Service on 11/2010 included white alloy mainspring, cleaning and timing: $495.00
  
1942 Elgin 8/0 size, 15 jewel, 532 (First 8/0 movement for Elgin), non-hacking movement. Three piece hex-back case with dust cover and all gaskets. Blackened screws and wheels with brass movement. This watch features a case back with the temporary marking OFA, which was the designation given to military issued time pieces during the period  that the Air Corps was becoming  the Air Force. Elgin UDT Canteen Watch, 15 jewel, 539 hacking movement. Three piece hex-back canteen case with dust cover, all gaskets and screw down outer crown. Original glass crystal while chipped is still intact with the original lead solder seal. Case back Signed USN 68C, a very low serial number.
